1. Additional Chief Fire Officer
- Educational Qualification:
- Bachelors Degree with Divisional Officers Course/Fire Prevention Course from National Fire Service College, Nagpur OR
- B.E./B.Tech in Fire/Fire & Safety OR B.Sc. (Fire/Fire & Safety) from a recognized university.
- Experience: Minimum 7 years service in Fire Brigade, out of which at least 3 years must be in a post equivalent to Station Officer/Assistant Divisional Officer in Govt./Local Bodies/PSU/Corporation/Company.
- Other Requirements:
- Basic computer knowledge (as per Gujarat Civil Services rules).
- Adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi.
- Must meet physical & medical standards (Appendix-A).
2. Deputy Chief Fire Officer
- Educational Qualification:
- Same as Additional Chief Fire Officer (see above).
- Experience: Minimum 7 years service in Fire Brigade, with at least 3 years in a post equivalent to Station Officer/Assistant Divisional Officer.
- Other Requirements:
- Computer proficiency.
- Knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi.
- Fulfillment of physical standards (Appendix-A).
Physical Standards (Appendix-A)
For Male Candidates:
- Height: 165 cm (160 cm for ST of Gujarat origin)
- Chest: 81 cm (deflated), 86 cm (inflated) with at least 5 cm expansion
- Weight: Minimum 50 kg
For Female Candidates:
- Height: 157 cm (154.5 cm for ST of Gujarat origin)
- Weight: Minimum 46 kg
Unfit if suffering from: Knock Knee, Pigeon Chest, Squint Eye, Flat Feet, Varicose Veins, Hammer Toes, Fractured Limbs, Decayed Teeth, Communicable/Skin Diseases.
Medical fitness will be certified by an authorized medical officer as per SHAPE I standards (Psychological, Hearing, Appendage, Physical capacity, Eyesight).
Selection Process
