The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) has released its NABARD Grade A Recruitment Notification 2025–26 (Advertisement No. 05/Grade A/2025-26), inviting online applications for the post of Assistant Manager (Grade A) across multiple streams including Rural Development Banking Service (RDBS), Legal Service, and Protocol & Security Service.

Eligibility Criteria

1. Age Limit (as on 01.11.2025)

For RDBS & Legal

  • 21 to 30 years
    (Born between 02 Nov 1995 and 01 Nov 2004)

Relaxations:

  • OBC: +3 years

  • SC/ST: +5 years

  • PWBD: +10 years (General), +13 years (OBC), +15 years (SC/ST)

  • EXS: as per rules

For Protocol & Security Service

  • 25 to 40 years
    (No age relaxation)


Educational Qualifications (as on 01.11.2025)

(A) For RDBS

General:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with 60% (55% for SC/ST/PWBD), OR

  • PG degree/MBA/PGDM with 55% (50% for SC/ST/PWBD), OR

  • CA/CS/CMA/ICWA, OR

  • Ph.D.

Specialized Streams:
Each discipline has specific requirements. Examples:

  • IT: B.Tech/BE in CS/IT/EC/Data Science/AI/ML with 60% OR PG with 55%.

  • Finance: BBA/BMS (Finance) with 60%, MBA (Finance) with 55%, CA, CFA, FRM etc.

  • Agricultural & Allied Sciences: Bachelors/Masters in relevant fields with required percentages.

  • Economics: PG in Applied Economics with 55% (50% SC/PWBD).

(All discipline-specific qualifications are taken directly from the notification.)


(B) For Legal Service

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Law with 60% marks, OR

  • LLM with 55% marks

  • Practicing advocates must present Bar Council Registration & Experience Certificates.


(C) For Protocol & Security Service

  • Minimum 10 years of commissioned service in Army/Navy/Air Force.

  • Five years allowed for PWBD candidates.


Selection Procedure

For RDBS & Legal

Selection will be conducted in four stages:

Phase I – Preliminary Exam (Objective)

Total: 200 marks | 120 minutes
Includes Reasoning, English, GA, Computer, Quantitative Aptitude, ESI, and ARD.

Only merit-section scores count for shortlisting to Mains.


Phase II – Main Examination

Two Papers:

Paper Type Marks
Paper I – English Descriptive 100
Paper II – ESI & ARD (General) OR Stream-specific (Specialists) Objective + Descriptive 100

Phase III – Psychometric Test

Mandatory, qualifying nature.


Phase IV – Interview

  • 50 marks

Final merit = Mains + Interview


For Protocol & Security Service

Phase I – Online Exam

  • 200 marks

  • Includes Reasoning, English, GA (with focus on Banking), and Professional Knowledge.

Phase II – Psychometric Test

Phase III – Interview (50 marks)

Final merit = Online Exam + Interview


Exam Centers

  • Phase I: Conducted nationwide across 33 states/UTs.

  • Phase II & Psychometric Test: Conducted in major metro cities.

  • Interview Centers: Selected major locations.

Salary & Perks

Starting Basic Pay: ₹44,500/-

(Grade A Scale: 44,500 – 89,150)

Approx. Initial Gross Salary: ~₹1,00,000 per month
