Eligibility Criteria

1. Nationality: Candidate must be an Indian citizen or as per Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment Rules, 1967.

2. Age Limit:

   • Minimum: 18 years

   • Maximum: 33 years (as on 11 September 2025)

   • Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories, women, PwD, and Ex-servicemen as per government rules (up to maximum 45 years in some cases).

3. Educational Qualification:

   • Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical/Automobile) from a recognized University/Technical Examination Board.

   • Basic computer knowledge as per Gujarat Civil Services Rules.

   • Adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both.

Salary Structure

• First 5 years fixed pay: �49,600/- per month.

• After successful completion, candidates will be eligible for 7th Pay Commission Scale: �39,900 �1,26,600 (Level-7).

• Other allowances as per Government rules.

Examination Details

The selection will be based on a competitive written exam (MCQ based OMR/CBRT).

• Part A (60 Marks):

  • Reasoning & Data Interpretation 30 marks

  • Quantitative Aptitude 30 marks

• Part B (150 Marks):

  • Indian Constitution, Current Affairs, Gujarati & English Comprehension 30 marks

  • Subject-related (Mechanical/Automobile Engineering) 120 marks

Total Marks: 210
Duration: 3 hours
Negative Marking: 0.25 marks per wrong answer.

Minimum Qualifying Marks: 40% in each part (Part A & Part B).

• Reserved categories (SC/ST/SEBC/EWS, Women, PwD, Ex-servicemen): �400/-

• Fee to be paid online via Debit Card/Net Banking/UPI/Wallets.

• Candidates appearing in the exam will get a refund of exam fee.
