GSSSB Recruitment 2025: Apply Online for Scientific Assistant (Fingerprint Bureau), Class-III Posts

The Gujarat Gaun Seva Pasandgi Mandal (GSSSB), Gandhinagar has released an official notification (Advt. No. 360/2025-26) for direct recruitment to the post of Scientific Assistant (Fingerprint Bureau), Class-III under the Home Department. Eligible candidates are invited to apply online through the OJAS website.

Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Science from a recognized university (under Central/State Act or UGC-recognized institute).
• Basic knowledge of computer applications.
• Adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi, or both.
• Physical fitness as prescribed in Appendix-I (should not be color blind, squint; vision standards: Distant vision 6/5, Near vision 0/5 in both eyes).

Age Limit (as on 06-10-2025):

• Minimum: 18 years
• Maximum: 35 years
• Age relaxations are applicable as per government rules for reserved categories, women, PwD, and ex-servicemen.
  • General Women: +5 years (up to 40 years)
  • Reserved Category (Men): +5 years (up to 40 years)
  • Reserved Category (Women): +10 years (up to 45 years)
  • PwD (General): +10 years (up to 45 years)
  • PwD (Reserved): +15–20 years (up to 45 years max)
  • Ex-servicemen: Service years + 3 years

Pay Scale:

• First 5 Years: Fixed pay of Rs. 26,000/- per month.
• After 5 Years: Regular pay scale Rs. 25,500 – 81,100/- (Level-4, 7th Pay Commission), subject to satisfactory performance and rules in force.

Application Process:

1. Visit https://ojas.gujarat.gov.in.
2. Go to “Online Application” → Select GSSSB → Click on “Apply”.
3. Select the advertisement number 360/2025-26 and click “Apply Now”.
4. Fill in Personal, Educational, and Other Details carefully.
5. Upload a recent passport-size photograph (5 cm × 3.6 cm) and signature (2.5 cm × 7.5 cm) in JPG format (max 15 KB).
6. Save and confirm the application.
7. Note the Application Number and Confirmation Number for future use.

Application Fees:

• General Category: Rs. 500/-
• Reserved Categories (Women, SC, ST, SEBC, EWS, PwD, Ex-Servicemen): Rs. 400/-
• Fees must be paid online through Debit Card, Net Banking, UPI, or Wallet.
• Note: Candidates who appear for the exam will get their fees refunded.

Selection Process:

• Written Examination (MCQ type, CBRT/OMR-based):
  • Part A (60 Marks):
    • Reasoning & Data Interpretation – 30 marks
    • Quantitative Aptitude – 30 marks
  • Part B (150 Marks):
    • Constitution of India, Current Affairs, Gujarati & English Comprehension – 30 marks
    • Subject-related questions – 120 marks
  • Total: 210 Questions, 180 Minutes, Negative Marking: 0.25 marks per wrong answer.
• Merit List & Document Verification: Based on normalized marks, merit will be prepared category-wise.
