GSSSB Junior Pharmacist Vacancy 2025 – Overview

Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess any one of the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy OR Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D) from a recognized university
  OR

• Diploma in Pharmacy with minimum 2 years experience as:

  • Junior Pharmacist in Government/Government undertaking/Board, OR

  • Dispenser in hospital/dispensary, OR

  • Pharmacist/Medical Representative in a pharmaceutical company

Additional requirements:

• Basic knowledge of computer applications

• Adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both

• Registration with Gujarat State Pharmacy Council at the time of appointment

Age Limit (as on 30 December 2025)

• Minimum Age: 18 years

• Maximum Age: 35 years

Age Relaxation:

• General category women: +5 years

• Reserved category candidates: As per Gujarat Government norms

• PwD candidates: Up to 45 years (category-wise)

• Ex-servicemen: Service period + 3 years

Salary / Pay Scale

• Fixed Pay: ₹40,800 per month for the first 5 years

• After successful completion of 5 years, candidates will be placed in Pay Level-5 (₹29,200 – ₹92,300) as per the 7th Pay Commission, subject to government rules and court decisions.

Application Fee

✔ Exam fee will be refunded to candidates who appear for the examination.

Selection Process

Selection will be based on a single competitive written examination conducted through CBRT / OMR mode.

• Negative Marking: ¼ mark deducted for each wrong answer
