GSSSB Fireman Cum Driver Recruitment 2025

The Gujarat Subordinate Service Selection Board (GSSSB) has announced the recruitment of Fireman Cum Driver, Class-3 under the Urban Development & Urban Housing Department. The board invites online applications to fill 13 vacancies through a competitive examination.

• Total Vacancies: 13

• Reservation: Vacancies include reserved seats for Women, SC, ST, SEBC, EWS, and Ex-Servicemen as per government rules.

Eligibility Criteria

1. Nationality:

• Must be an Indian citizen or satisfy provisions under Gujarat Civil Services (General) Rules, 1967.

2. Age Limit (as on 15.09.2025):

• Minimum: 18 years

• Maximum: 33 years

• Relaxation:

  • General Female: +5 years

  • Reserved Category Male: +5 years

  • Reserved Category Female: +10 years

  • Ex-Servicemen: Service years + 3 years relaxation

Educational & Other Qualifications

1. 12th Pass (HSC) from a recognized board or equivalent.

2. Fireman Training Certificate (minimum 6 months) or Driver-cum-Pump Operator Certificate from a State/Central Government recognized institute.

3. Valid Heavy Motor Vehicle (HMV) Driving License.

4. Physical Standards:

   For Male Candidates:

   • Height: 165 cm (160 cm for Scheduled Tribes)

   • Chest: 81 cm (86 cm expanded)

   • Weight: Minimum 50 kg

   For Female Candidates:

   • Height: 158 cm (156 cm for Scheduled Tribes)

   • Weight: Minimum 40 kg

5. Basic Computer Knowledge (to be produced before appointment if not available at application time).

6. Knowledge of Gujarati/Hindi language.

Pay Scale

• First 5 Years: Fixed pay of ₹26,000/- per month

• After 5 Years: Pay Level-2, ₹19,900/- to ₹63,200/- plus applicable benefits as per 7th Pay Commission.

Application Fee

• Unreserved (Male): ₹500/-

• Reserved Categories (All Women, SC, ST, SEBC, EWS, Ex-Servicemen): ₹400/-

• Refund: Fee will be refunded to candidates appearing for the exam via the same payment method.

Selection Process

1. Written Examination (CBRT/OMR):

   • Part A (60 Marks): Reasoning, Data Interpretation, Quantitative Aptitude.

   • Part B (150 Marks): Constitution of India, Current Affairs, Gujarati & English Comprehension, Technical Subjects (Fireman & Driving).

   • Total Marks: 210

   • Qualifying Marks: 40% in each part.

   • Negative Marking: 0.25 per wrong answer.

2. Document Verification of shortlisted candidates.

3. Final Merit List preparation as per marks & category-wise reservation.

3. Find Advt. No. 347/2025-26 (Fireman Cum Driver, Class-3) and click Apply.

4. Fill Personal, Educational, and Category Details carefully.

5. Upload Photo & Signature (as per specifications).

6. Confirm and submit application.

7. Pay the application fee online and save/print confirmation for future reference.
