GSSSB Forest Guard Recruitment 2025 – Vacancies for PwD Candidates

The Gujarat Subordinate Service Selection Board (GSSSB) has released a notification for 157 Forest Guard (Class-3) vacancies exclusively under a Special Recruitment Drive (SRD) for Persons with Disabilities (PwD). The recruitment is being carried out under the office of the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests, Gujarat State.

Category-Wise Reservation (For PwD Only)

The 157 vacancies are reserved only for candidates under the Locomotor Disability and Acid Attack Victim (LC/AAV) categories. Other PwD categories are not eligible to apply for this recruitment.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

• 12th (Higher Secondary School Certificate) pass from a recognized board.

• Basic knowledge of computer operations.

• Adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both.

Age Limit (as on 10.08.2025)

• Minimum: 18 years

• Maximum: 33 years

• Age Relaxation:

  • PwD Male (General): Up to 10 years

  • PwD Female (General): Up to 15 years

  • PwD Male (Reserved): Up to 15 years

  • PwD Female (Reserved): Up to 20 years

Candidates must not have any disqualifying physical conditions such as knock knee, flat feet, varicose veins, etc.

Selection Process

The recruitment process will consist of the following three stages:

1. Written Examination (OMR/CBRT Based)

• Total Questions: 100 (MCQ type)

• Total Marks: 200

• Duration: 2 hours

• Negative Marking: 0.25 per wrong answer

• Minimum Qualifying Marks: 40% (80 marks)

Subjects & Weightage:

• General Knowledge – 25%

• General Mathematics – 12.5%

• Gujarati Language – 12.5%

• Forest & Environment (main subject) – 50%

2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

3. Walking Test

• Male: 25 km in 4 hours

• Female: 14 km in 4 hours

Candidates must also pass document verification after qualifying the physical tests.

4. Fill out the form with accurate details

5. Upload recent photograph & signature

6. Pay the examination fee online

7. Submit the application and download the form for future reference

Application Fee

• ₹400 for all categories
  Note: Fee is refundable only to candidates who appear in the exam.

Additional Benefits

• Sports Quota: 5% extra marks for eligible national/international level players.

• NCC ‘C’ Certificate holders: 2 marks weightage.

• Widow Female Candidates: 5% extra marks (with proper proof and only if not remarried).
