Essential: Master’s Degree in Economics / Econometrics / Mathematical Economics / Financial Economics with minimum 60% marks or equivalent grade from a recognized university/institute.

Skills Required

Strong communication and analytical writing skills.

Proficiency in Statistical/Analytical software such as STATA, SAS, E-views, R, etc.

Competency in Mathematical/Statistical Model Building (mandatory).

Job Profile & Responsibilities
The selected candidate will play a key role in economic research and policy support within SBI.
Key responsibilities include:

Collecting, compiling, and analyzing financial and economic data using econometric models.

Conducting macroeconomic research on banking, prices, savings, investments, and national accounts.

Designing and analyzing large-scale surveys.
-
Building macro-econometric models for forecasting economic indicators.

Publishing research articles and contributing to SBI’s internal publications like Eco Wrap.

Preparing speeches, background papers, and analytical reports for SBI’s top management.

Supporting other SBI departments in budget analysis, capital raising, and policy formulation.

Salary and Benefits
Pay Scale: ₹64,820 – 2,340/1 – 67,160 – 2,680/10 – 93,960 (MMGS-II)

Selection Process
The recruitment will be based on:
