Eligibility Criteria for OICL AO 2025

Nationality

Candidate must be:

• Indian citizen, OR

• Nepal/Bhutan subject, OR

• Tibetan refugee (before 1 Jan 1962), OR

• Person of Indian origin migrated from eligible countries.

Educational Qualification (as on 30.11.2025)

1. Generalist Officer

• Graduate / Postgraduate in any discipline

• Minimum 60% marks (55% for SC/ST)

2. Hindi (Rajbhasha) Officer

Masters degree with 60% (55% for SC/ST) in:

• Hindi with English as compulsory/elective, OR

• English with Hindi as compulsory/elective, OR

• Any subject with Hindi/English as medium & the other as compulsory/elective.

• Minimum: 21 years

• Maximum: 30 years

OICL AO Salary 2025

Selected candidates will receive:

• Basic Pay: �50,925

• Total Salary: Approx. �85,000 per month (in metro cities)

Selection Process OICL AO 2025

The recruitment process includes three stages:

1. Preliminary Exam (Tier-I)

• Objective type

• 100 Marks

• 1 Hour

• Sections: English, Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude

2. Main Exam (Tier-II)

Separate pattern for Generalist and Hindi Officers.

Generalist

• Objective Exam: 200 Marks

• Descriptive Exam (English): 30 Marks

Hindi Officer

• Objective Exam: 200 Marks

• Descriptive Test: 50 Marks

3. Interview

Final selection weightage:

• Mains (Objective): 80%
