Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), Marketing Division  Northern Region, has released an official notification for the engagement of Trade, Technician, and Graduate Apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961. This recruitment drive is part of IOCLs national skill development initiative and offers valuable hands-on training opportunities to eligible candidates across multiple states and Union Territories.

Interested and eligible candidates can apply online through the NAPS or NATS portal from 27 December 2025 to 12 January 2026.

Educational Qualification

Trade Apprentice (ITI)

• Matriculation (Class 10) + 2-year ITI certificate in relevant trade

• ITI must be recognized by NCVT/SCVT

Technician Apprentice

• 3-year Diploma in relevant engineering discipline

• Minimum marks:

  • 50% for General/EWS/OBC-NCL

  • 45% for SC/ST/PwBD

Graduate Apprentice

• Full-time regular graduation in any discipline

• Minimum marks:

  • 50% for General/EWS/OBC-NCL

  • 45% for SC/ST/PwBD

Data Entry Operator

• Class 12 pass (below graduate level)

• Skill Certificate required for skilled category

Note: Qualifications through distance learning, correspondence, or part-time mode are not eligible.

Age Limit (As on 31 December 2025)

• Minimum Age: 18 Years

• Maximum Age: 24 Years

Age Relaxation

• SC/ST: 5 Years

• OBC-NCL: 3 Years

• PwBD: Up to 10 Years (additional relaxation for reserved categories)

Stipend Details

Stipend will be paid as per the Apprentices Act, along with additional benefits:

• Graduate Apprentice:

  • �4,500 paid by BOAT (DBT)

  • Remaining amount paid by IOCL

• Technician Apprentice:

  • �4,000 paid by BOAT (DBT)

  • Remaining amount paid by IOCL

• Trade Apprentice:

  • Full stipend paid by IOCL

• Additional Allowance: �2,500 per month as miscellaneous expenses

Selection Process

• No written exam or interview

• Selection based on merit (marks obtained in qualifying examination)

• Tie-breaking criteria:

  1. Older candidate (earlier date of birth)

  2. Higher marks in matriculation

• Preference given to first-time apprentices

• Final selection subject to:

  • Document verification

  • Pre-engagement medical fitness test
