GSSSB Junior Scientific Assistant Recruitment 2025  Apply Online for 54 Vacancies

The Gujarat Subordinate Service Selection Board (GSSSB) has released an official notification [Advt. No. 317/2025-26] inviting applications for the post of Junior Scientific Assistant (Class-3) under the Gujarat Engineering Research Institute, Vadodara. A total of 54 vacancies will be filled through a competitive examination. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online through the OJAS website from 01 July 2025 (14:00 hrs) to 15 July 2025 (23:59 hrs).

• Reservation: Posts are reserved for various categories including SC, ST, SEBC, EWS, Women, Ex-Servicemen, and Persons with Disabilities (PwD) as per government norms.

Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Technology from a recognized university
  OR

• Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution
  AND

• Two years of relevant experience in laboratory testing, field quality assurance, design, or construction.

Additional Requirements:

• Basic knowledge of computer applications.

• Adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both.

Age Limit (as of 15/07/2025):

• Minimum Age: 18 years

• Maximum Age: 35 years

• Relaxation in upper age limit applicable for reserved category candidates, women, PwD, and ex-servicemen as per government rules.

Salary:

• Fixed pay of �40,800/- per month for the first five years.

• Upon successful completion, regular pay scale of �29,200  �92,300 (Level-5) under 7th Pay Commission.

Selection Process:

• A single-phase CBRT/OMR-based Written Examination comprising:

  • Part A (60 Marks): Reasoning and Data Interpretation, Quantitative Aptitude

  • Part B (150 Marks): Constitution of India, Current Affairs, English & Gujarati Comprehension, and Subject-specific knowledge.
