GSSSB Junior Pharmacist Vacancy 2025  Overview

Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess any one of the following qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in Pharmacy OR Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D) from a recognized university
  OR

• Diploma in Pharmacy with minimum 2 years experience as:

  • Junior Pharmacist in Government/Government undertaking/Board, OR

  • Dispenser in hospital/dispensary, OR

  • Pharmacist/Medical Representative in a pharmaceutical company

Additional requirements:

• Basic knowledge of computer applications

• Adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both

• Registration with Gujarat State Pharmacy Council at the time of appointment

Age Limit (as on 30 December 2025)

• Minimum Age: 18 years

• Maximum Age: 35 years

Age Relaxation:

• General category women: +5 years

• Reserved category candidates: As per Gujarat Government norms

• PwD candidates: Up to 45 years (category-wise)

• Ex-servicemen: Service period + 3 years

Salary / Pay Scale

• Fixed Pay: �40,800 per month for the first 5 years

• After successful completion of 5 years, candidates will be placed in Pay Level-5 (�29,200  �92,300) as per the 7th Pay Commission, subject to government rules and court decisions.

Application Fee

 Exam fee will be refunded to candidates who appear for the examination.

Selection Process

Selection will be based on a single competitive written examination conducted through CBRT / OMR mode.

• Gujarati & English Comprehension

• Negative Marking: � mark deducted for each wrong answer
