GSSSB Recruitment 2025: Horticulture Inspector (Class-3) – Apply Online

The Gujarat Subordinate Service Selection Board (GSSSB) has announced a recruitment drive for the position of Horticulture Inspector (Class-3) under the Directorate of Horticulture, Agriculture, Farmers Welfare, and Cooperation Department. Eligibility Criteria

Nationality:

• Must be an Indian citizen or meet the criteria as per the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967.

Age Limit:

• Minimum Age: 18 years

• Maximum Age: 33 years (Relaxation available as per government rules: up to 45 years for certain categories like reserved, women, PwD, and ex-servicemen).

Educational Qualification:

• Diploma in Horticulture from a recognized Polytechnic under any Agriculture/Horticulture University in India.

• Basic Computer Knowledge as per Gujarat Civil Services Rules, 1967.

• Knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both.

Pay Scale

• Initial Salary: ₹40,800/- fixed per month for the first 5 years.

• Post-probation Salary: Pay Matrix Level-5, ₹29,200 – ₹92,300/- (7th Pay Commission).

Selection Process

• Written Competitive Exam (MCQ format):

  • Part-A (60 marks): Logical Reasoning, Data Interpretation, Quantitative Aptitude.

  • Part-B (150 marks): Constitution of India, Current Affairs, Gujarati & English Comprehension, and Subject-Specific Questions.

• Negative Marking: ¼ mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.

• Qualifying Marks: Minimum 40% in both Part-A and Part-B.

• Reserved Categories, Women, PwD, Ex-servicemen: ₹400/-

• Mode of Payment: Online (Debit Card, Net Banking, UPI, Wallets).

• Note: Fee will be refunded only to those who appear for the exam.
