The Gujarat Subordinate Service Selection Board (GSSSB) has announced 94 vacancies for the post of Fisheries Officer (General), Class-3 under Advertisement No. 313/2025-26. Vacancy Details

Note: Reservations are applicable only for candidates of Gujarat domicile.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification:

• Bachelors Degree in Fisheries Science, Zoology, or Microbiology from a recognized university.

• Basic computer knowledge.

• Proficiency in Gujarati or Hindi or both.

Age Limit (as on 15/07/2025):

• Minimum: 18 years

• Maximum: 35 years (Age relaxations applicable for reserved categories, women, PwD, ex-servicemen as per government norms)

Salary

• Initial fixed pay: �40,800/- per month for the first five years.

• After successful completion, salary will be under Pay Matrix Level-6: �35,400  �1,12,400/-.

Application Fee

• General Candidates: �500/-

• Reserved Category, Women, PwD, Ex-Servicemen: �400/-

• Note: Fee will be refunded to candidates who appear in the exam.

Selection Process

Selection will be based on a written examination conducted in CBRT/OMR format with two parts:

Part-A (60 Marks):

• Data Interpretation

• Numerical Ability

Part-B (150 Marks):

• Indian Constitution

• Current Affairs

• English & Gujarati Comprehension

• Subject-related knowledge

• Negative Marking: 0.25 marks per wrong answer

• Qualifying Marks: Minimum 40% in each part
