The institute invites applications for Project Associate-I and Project Assistant-II positions under CSIR-funded projects.
🔹 Position 1: Project Associate–I

“Utilization of industrial waste generated from Soda ash and chlor-alkali industry for development of alkali activated sustainable concrete saltpan bed for salt industry to reduce brine losses through seepage and to strengthen for mechanized loading.”

Essential Qualification:

B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.
Job Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will:
-
Work on advanced model construction of concrete beds and supervise project sites at the Salt Farm of CSIR-CSMCRI, Bhavnagar.
-
Be involved in design tasks using Autodesk 3D Max and AutoCAD for solar salt farms.
-
Prepare estimates and costings based on DSR/SOR, and manage civil construction and salt farm planning activities.
-
Conduct prototype testing of AAC sustainable concrete beds.
-
Participate in extensive fieldwork, including brine transfer and data recording for salt cycles.

Travel for site work as required.
Emoluments:
-
₹31,000 + HRA — for candidates who have qualified CSIR–UGC/ICAR/ICMR NET (including lectureship/assistant professorship), GATE, or equivalent national-level exams.

₹25,000 + HRA — for candidates who do not meet the above criteria.
Age Limit:
-
Maximum 35 years as on the date of the interview (age relaxation as per CSIR rules).
Tenure:
-
Till 31st March 2026, purely temporary and co-terminus with the project.

No claim for regular appointment or extension beyond the project duration.

This position is under the CSIR-sponsored project titled
“Bioresource Conservation and Prospection (MMP025302)”, specifically in WP-02: Bio-prospection of Mangroves.
Essential Qualification:

B.Sc. in Microbiology from a recognized university or equivalent.
Preferred Experience:

Basic knowledge of microbiology and laboratory analytical techniques.
Job Description:

Assist in laboratory experiments and fieldwork related to mangrove bio-prospection.

Participate in sample collection and analysis from mangrove habitats.
Emoluments:

₹20,000 + HRA per month.
Age Limit:

Maximum 35 years as on the date of interview (relaxation as per CSIR norms).
Duration:

Purely temporary, co-terminus with the project.
