No. 17556/HR/All-India/2025/2, dated 24th October 2025) for the recruitment of Probationary Engineers across India. Post Details

In addition to basic pay, candidates will receive DA, HRA, performance-related pay, medical reimbursement, and other admissible allowances.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess a B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc (Engineering) degree in any of the following disciplines from an AICTE-approved institution:

• Electronics / Electronics & Communication / Electronics & Telecommunication / Communication / Telecommunication

• Mechanical

• Computer Science / Computer Science & Engineering / Computer Science Engineering

• Electrical / Electrical & Electronics

Candidates with AMIE / AMIETE / GIETE in the above disciplines are also eligible to apply.
Note: Dual specializations or equivalent disciplines will not be considered.

Age Limit (as on 01.10.2025)

• General/EWS: 25 years

• OBC (NCL): 28 years

• SC/ST: 30 years

• PwBD: 35 years

• PwBD + OBC (NCL): 38 years

• PwBD + SC/ST: 40 years

• Ex-servicemen: 5 years relaxation

Age relaxation is applicable as per Government norms.

Application Fee

• General / OBC (NCL) / EWS: ₹1000 + GST (₹1180 total)

• SC / ST / PwBD / Ex-Servicemen: No fee

Payment should be made online through the SBI e-Pay Lite portal. Once paid, the fee is non-refundable.

Selection Process

The selection process comprises two stages:

1. Computer Based Test (CBT) – 85% weightage

   • Duration: 120 minutes

   • Total Questions: 125

     • 100 Technical Questions

     • 25 General Aptitude & Reasoning Questions

   • Negative Marking: 0.25 marks deducted for each wrong answer

   • Minimum Qualifying Marks:

     • 35% for General/OBC/EWS

     • 30% for SC/ST/PwBD

2. Interview – 15% weightage

   • Shortlisted candidates (in 1:5 ratio) will be called for an interview based on CBT performance.

Final selection will be based on combined merit in CBT and interview.

Training and Service Bond

• Selected candidates will undergo 6 months of training.

• A Service Agreement for 2 years is mandatory.

• Breach of service contract will attract a penalty of ₹2,00,000.

Place of Posting

Selected candidates may be posted to any of the following BEL Units/Offices:

Bengaluru (Karnataka), Ghaziabad (Uttar Pradesh), Pune (Maharashtra), Hyderabad/Ibrahimpatnam (Telangana), Chennai (Tamil Nadu), Machilipatnam (Andhra Pradesh), Panchkula (Haryana), Kotdwara (Uttarakhand), and Navi Mumbai (Maharashtra).
They may be transferred to any unit across India based on company requirements.
